Frequently asked questions about Film Transfer
Q) How do I send my film to you?
A) Print film transfer order form and shipping label, fill out the order form and sign, number each reel of film in the order you wish it to appear and mail in a cardboard box.
Q) How long does it take for you to put my film on video?
A) Approximately 10 to 15 working days. It may take up to 45 days during peak periods. Your film will be repaired and cleaned, then edited to 400 ft. reels if necessary. It is then allowd to relax before it is transferred.
Q) Will I get my film back?
A) Yes, the film will be shipped with the viewing copies. The master will be shipped after you receive your film.
Q) Is there more than one type of film transfer?
A) Yes, we have two types of masters: Mini-DV and DV. Mini-DV is One hour, and Standard DV is Two Hours. Both have 500 lines.
Q) Can I have several types of film?
A) Yes, we can mix 8mm, Super-8 and 16mm all on one video cassette.
Q) How much film can I get on a two hour master?
A) A 2 hour DV tape will hold 1600 feet of regular 8mm film, 2000 feet of Super 8mm film and 4200 feet of 16mm film.
Q) Do you offer dvd transfer?
A) Yes you can get a DVD viewing copy for FREE. Extra DVD copies may be ordered for $4.99 each
